These are tools I have made to help my students; anyone is welcome to use them. These tools are a work in progress, more are being created and I will refine them as I learn from my students. Provide feedback at tools@scotthanneman.com.

Scott Hanneman is a Technology and Engineering Teacher at Wrightstown High School since fall 2010, holding a B.S. in Technology Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He has expanded the curriculum by developing and implementing nine new courses, enabling students to earn over sixteen credits and two certificates with the local Technical College. His teaching approach emphasizes hands-on, iterative learning with projects that foster critical thinking and problem-solving, and he integrates opportunities for technical college credits and industry connections to prepare students for future careers.

Tension Analysis
Tool for analyzing cable forces under static conditions. Input cable material, diameter, span, sag, applied load, and position to calculate forces like T1, T2, and limits, assuming negligible self-weight and pinned anchors.

Tool for analyzing compression in structural columns. Select material type and cross-sectional shape, input dimensions and applied load to calculate volume, mass, compression capacity, and buckling behavior.

Heat Conduction
Simulation tool based on Fourier's Law for modeling heat transfer between two bodies in thermal contact. Input materials, initial temperatures, and volumes to observe heat flow rates, conductivity, and temperature changes over time.

Refrigerant Behavior
Interactive simulator for R-134a refrigerant using Clausius-Clapeyron equation. Adjust temperature and pressure on phase diagram to explore phase changes, enthalpy, latent heat, and heat transfer in cooling cycles.

Tool for validating CNC milling G-code programs. Upload G-code files to generate comprehensive reports including toolpath visualization, machining time estimatespotential issues or warnings for safe and efficient manufacturing.

Beam Analysis
Tool for analyzing simply supported and cantilever beams under various loading conditions. Calculate shear forces, bending moments, deflections, and maximum stresses. Generate shear and moment diagrams for visualization.

Single Degree of Freedom vibration analysis tool for mass-spring-damper systems. Input mass, spring constant, and damping coefficient to analyze natural frequency, damping ratio, and response to various excitation forces.

PID Tuning
Interactive simulator for learning PID controller tuning using a virtual two-wheeled robot that follows a line track. Adjust Proportional, Integral, and Derivative gains while viewing real-time response graphs, performance metrics, and troubleshooting guidance.
